This piece presents a dialogue, a contrast of light and dark. For creatives, it illustrates the idea of the black sheep––or in this case black swan––never feeling anything but mediocre when really the pretension in what looks perfect in society is truly just a mirage, the mediocre. It posits that our minds often look past our unique visions, failing to appreciate our imperfections, and produce mediocre, contrived work based on an idealized state of perfection.
