Submission Guidelines-

We encourage pieces that are unafraid to pose new ‘what if...?’s, speak uncomfortable truths, subvert different forms of power, extend words of solace and solidarity, and prompt new definitions of our social ecosystem. Speculations in the form of essays, journal entries, poetry, interviews, critical pieces, reviews, photographs and illustrations (visual content should always be accompanied by some form of original prose) are welcome.

The prose should be—

  • responding to the theme and/or the manifesto

  • articulate, provocative, thoughtful, and inclusive.

  • complete, original, previously unpublished (this includes personal blogs and social media).

  • in English (UK)

  • Sent as a word document to: with subject line: Prose on Mediocrity

The art should be—

  • responding to the current theme

  • complete, original, previously unpublished (this includes personal blogs, portfolios and social media)

  • 300 dpi resolution; 2048 x 2048 pixels

  • Sent as a jpeg/png/tiff document to: with subject line: Art on Mediocrity

If you'd like to work as an illustrator with us, and assigned prose to make art for, please send us 5 samples of work as a pdf
